Meet Charlie aka Verizon: HART

CincyPet Magazine's Rescue Dog of the Week

Charlie (HART name: Verizon) is a super loving, energetic and well behaved one year old, 35 pound, Plott Hound/Catahoula mix available for adoption from HART in Cincinnati. He was rescued from a high-intake shelter in West Virginia.  Why in the world would the rescue name a dog Verizon, you ask?  Because this perfect boy was found tied up outside of a Verizon store.

He loves going on walks, playing with his chew toys, and being with his humans. Based on his interaction with neighboring dogs, he most likely came from a multi-dog home. He is house trained and will go to the door when he needs to be let outside to do his business.

He is mostly crate trained and will sleep through the night without whining. He does get sad and barks some when put in his crate when his humans have to leave (but does calm down before they return.) He does better on a walk when wearing a harness. He would be a great dog for an owner who likes to run. He would also do well in a multi-dog home.

Charlie is currently learning how to heel while on walks and is very trainable. This sweet boy will make anyone a perfect companion! #Canyouhearmenow?
