Deacon – Owen County Friends of Animals

Deacon is looking for a forever home where he can practice his favorite hobby…taking naps.

February 24, 2020

Are you looking for a goofball to pal around with? Maybe a buddy to nap with? Maybe someone to monitor you closely while you eat to make sure no one interrupts you? Then Deacon’s for you! This big hunk of love is ready for his forever home with a patient person or family who can tolerate his antics (which include eating leashes and charging at selected cats). But all that aside he’s a great guy with a big heart! His hobbies include taking snoring naps and …well…that’s about it.  Naps and eating.  He knows what’s good in life.

Deacon is a senior English bulldog/lab mix that is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm treatments. His adoption fee is $100. If you’re interested in adopting Deacon, call (502-514-2140), email (OCFAnimals [at] gmail.com), or fill out an application online.

Owen County Friends of Animals believes that every life matters and that all dogs are individuals. Started in 2005 to support a no-kill initiative in Owen County they’ve moved from a 100% kill rate to a 99% save rate. That means that almost every single healthy and adoptable dog that comes through their doors ends up in a home. Since 2016 they have saved over 1,000 dogs and cats and placed them into loving homes.
